Preparing your own income tax return can be a task that leaves you with more questions than answers. Whether we like it or not, today's tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing. It is just too easy to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled. Even if you use a computer software program there's no substitute for the assistance of an experienced tax professional.

Tax Preparation Checklist - This covers the basic info we will need from you to complete an accurate return.

Ask about pickup/delivery. Additional fees apply.
Don't forget to include all your income information reporting forms-W2, 1099 etc.
Your return will be ready the next day (in most cases).
Want to pay us from your refund? Read and sign the last two pages. We cannot provide this service if you do not. Additional Fees: $25 for direct deposit & $40 for a check printed in our office.

Form 8332 - Release of Child's Exemption to Non-Custodial Parent. If you are claiming an exemption for a child that does not live with you because you were never married/divorced or separated, you need to have the parent the child lives with sign this form. You may then take the child's exemption and the Child Tax credit. The other parent will get to use the child to qualify for Head of Household, EIC refundable credit, and Child Care Credit. Complete part 1 of the form by filling in child's name, the parents SSN, and a signature. Complete part 2 if this arrangement will continue for additional years.
